Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is known for his sharp-witted and sly roles in action movies. Collectively, he has appeared in films that have grossed over $2.5 billion USD. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein in West Germany, to a German mother, Marlene Kassel, and an American father, David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point, New Jersey) and was living on a United States military base. The family moved to the U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was raised in Penns Grove by his mother who worked for an establishment that was a bank, while his father, a welder employed in a factory and welder. Willis was interested in drama during high school. While working in an New York City café, it was reported that he was "discovered". He then began to appear in a handful of off-Broadway productions. As a bartender one night and he was noticed by a casting director who appreciated his character and was looking for bartenders for a tiny movie role. Willis was part of numerous auditions, before being cast in the cult romantic comedy, Moonlighting (1985), as David Addison. His humorous and wisecracking P.I. Some believe it's an opportunity to practice to test Willis as McClane in Die Hard (1988), where he single-handedly defeated the thieves of a gang from an Los Angeles skyscraper. He reprised his role as McClane in the sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), set at a snow-covered Washington's Dulles International Airport as a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers seek to get back an infamous South American general. The success of the film at the box office prompted an additional sequel Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), this time with co-star Samuel L. Jackson as a cynical Harlem shop owner unwittingly thrust to assist McClane in a bombing campaign in the midst of a hot summer day in New York.
