Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a actor in the theatre, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother, as well as an actress. Her older brothers are Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood IV, who has also performed. Evan and her brothers acted in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father is the executive director. When she was five, she auditioned to play the character of Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). In the year 1996, she moved to Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mother.
